Lesson 25 – Final Presentation Preparation

Final Presentation Preparation
We went over the checklist for the final presentations. We also talked about data visualization.

Prepare a data graph for your presentation. Keep in mind the following purposes of graph types:

  • vertical bar graphs – ranking, size
  • horizontal bar graphs – time, speed, length
  • pie graphs – percentages, market share (usually with 3-6 slices – small slices that are not emphasized can be combined and labeled "other")
  • line graphs – trends, changes over time

We look at and get feedback on our graphs on Thursday.

Remember to follow Tufte's Data Slide Rules:

  1. Tell the truth
  2. Get to the point
  3. Pick the right tool for the job
  4. Highlight what is important
  5. Keep it simple

Follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to Google Drive.
  2. Create a new file in Google Slides.
  3. Give it the title your name + EIB + L26 (ex., Junko Saito EIB L26).
  4. Share it with me at my Rikkyo email address.
  5. Due 7/10 23:59.
